Frequently asked questions
Should I choose crop or padding?
For photos, padding keeps the full image, while crop fills the frame. Signature mode always preserves your full signature inside the chosen dimensions.
Does this also guarantee a maximum file size?
No. The resizer sets dimensions. Use the image compressor afterward if your application also specifies a KB limit.
Why can PNG files be large?
PNG is lossless, which helps keep handwriting sharp, but files may be larger than JPG. Choose JPG only when the form specifically requires it.
Why does a small signature look pixelated when enlarged?
A 200-pixel-wide raster image only contains 200 columns of pixels. Zooming cannot recreate missing detail. Use High-resolution master to keep the original detail; for very low-resolution scans, a clearer original is necessary.
